It turned out that Snape was actually a very good person just with a rough childhood and life. Snape helped Harry to the end and died knowing he had fulfilled Dumbledore's orders and done as best as he could helping Lily's son [which would be hard to do considering the fact that he was the Chosen One to kill Lord Voldemort, only one of the most powerful dark wizards ever].
