The prophecy, the affair and separated siblings
written by Phoebe Eglington
What would happen if the prophecy had a new meaning?, what would happen if Harry was a girl called Harriet?, what would happen if Harriet had a brother?, what would happen if neither child were James Potter's? What if Voldemort killed no one that night? So many questions, so many answers but this story is my answer.

Chapter 1
(There are no horcruxes in this story so Voldemort isn't completely corrupted by the dark arts and I also have no idea where this will go because I only have the first two chapters. Percy Jackson/Harry Potter cross over)
There was a blast of green light! Voldemort had killed another member of Dumbledore's Order of the Phoenix however something was missing, he was the most powerful person who lived, everyone feared not just him but his name, he was immortal but where was the joy? He thought about what Lucius said the other week, "My lord, forgive me for suggesting but maybe it has something to do with the prophecy" he had said but Voldemort didn't agree.
A week ago, while he had been trying to recruit a witch by the name Sybill Trelawney, great granddaughter of the seer Cassandra Trelawney, she had given her first prophecy and it was about him:
The one with the power to vanquish the dark lord approaches,
Born to those who have thrice defies him, born as the seventh month dies,
And the dark lord will take the child as his equal but the child will find power the dark lord knows not,
And either can die at the hand of the other but teamwork is possible with power unknown to mortals,
if they unite they shall survive and the world will be reborn, If they fight they will die and the world shall go up in flames,
The boy with the power to save the dark lord approaches…
This put a huge spanner in Voldemort's plans. He would have just killed the boy but he would most likely die too so it left him one option: take the boy as his equal as the prophecy said. To make the boy love him enough not to fight him. He needed to do it to survive and maybe he could find out what that 'unknown power' could be.
