I love this book, its number one. Harry and Dudley get attacked by dementors, and guess what? Mrs. Figg is a squib! He is taken to wizard court to get expelled from Hogwarts. Harry gets to stay. Now in his fifth year at Hogwarts, Harry learns that many in the wizarding community do not know the truth of his encounter with Voldemort. Cornelius Fudge, minister of Magic, appoints Dolores Umbridge, as Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. She is such a...ahhh! I hate her! Fudge fears that Professor Dumbledore will take his job. But her teaching is deficient and her methods, cruel, so Harry prepares a group of students to defend the school against a rising tide of evil. That group is Dumbledore's Army. They practice real defense against the dark arts. Harry oddly is worried about Sirius Black, in the Department of Mysteries. Hermione and Harry convince Umbridge to come to the forest where she is taken by Centaurs. (Thank goodness!) Some of Dumbledore's Army to head to the Department of Mysteries. We learn about prophesies. Voldemort and his Death Eaters are there. Everyone fights. Sirius Black, as predicted, is there. He fights. Sirius is then murdered by his own cousin, Bellatrix Lestrange. This is one of the times I cried during the Harry Potter series. Dumbledore appears and they leave. He also explains that what Voldemort doesn't have and needs is love. Harry returns back to his uncle and aunts house, where he is safe, for now.
