I sat on my bed listening to music on my iPod. I was thinking about my very strange day. I have no idea how it happened.

I was at day camp, playing 9 square with the other kids. It's kind of like 4 square instead with 9 people, you get the idea.

Anyway I am not very good at 9 square. I tried my best, but I kept getting out.

"You are such a dunce, Lily Johnson." a girl named Bella calls out.

I'm not stupid or anything. I'm quite good at school. My problem is sports.

I get mad at Bella for calling me a dunce. People always call me names, but Bella does it the most.

"Hey Johnson! You just got out, again. You're so dumb that you don't even realize your out. Is there a school for dunces? Cause that's where you will be going to Middle School!" Bella says.

I was so busy thinking about Bella, that I didn't realize that Grace had hit the ball into my square. And why is Bella so mean? She got a D- on her overall grade. She would have an F, but she got an A in gym. I still got a C+. But everybody always gets at least a B in gym, well besides me.

Suddenly I realize that my iPod is dead. I heard wing beats. I look up and see an owl flying towards my open window. It drop a letter on my bed, then flies back to my window and sits there.

I open up my letter and read,

HOGWARTS SCHOOL of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY

Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore
(Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock,
Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)

Dear Ms. Johnson,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.

UNIFORM

I reread the letter. What is this Hogwarts? It must be some sort of prank letter.

I walk downstairs to tell my mom and dad, but there is already a strange person sitting there talking to them.
