Chapter 6
I crept out from below the couch, using me hands and knees. It was dusty under there, a bit too dusty, and out there was just free. The air that filled the room ran into my lungs father stood there, hands by his side, his eyes narrow and full of, what seemed weird, fear of what will happen in the future.
"Why were you here?" He asked, sitting down on a chair at the round table in the middle of the room. I sat down opposite him, trying my hardest not to look in his eyes which were gleaming in the rays of the sun coming from the window.
"I.........I was with Ferna and Farah when they were looking for books." I lied, as I twiddled my thumbs round under the table.
"Well......." He saw it. I know he did. His face dropped entirely as he looked at my left arm, more fear spread across his face. The Black dust that was spreading across my arm was back. It was jus below my elbow before of stopped and rested. "What?........." He shared at the dust and back to me, repeatedly. He didn't look too happy. I was still clutching me arm, nursing and caring it. He rushed over, opening his small bottles trapped onto his belt, and bended out some ocean blue water. This water he only used on very serious occasions. He wrapped the water around my arm carefully, and waited for a while. He sat there for at least three minutes before giving up and taking the water away. It was probably permanent. The dust would never be removed. Never. My left arm was now trapped in agony and pain forever.
"How did this...?" He looked at me with disappointed eyes, tilting his head and eyeballing me. "You saw it. Didn't you?" He asked.
"See what?" I replied, my face burning with fear and guilt.
"The Dagger. Of Aa'eedah. You saw it didn't you?" He asked, coming and moving towards me, eyes full of fury now.
"Well....."
"That staircase is forbidden, you know that. That was why I never showed you that way of the castle before. It was forbidden and dangerous. What happened?" He asked, fear and fury across his face and eyes.
"A.......a green figure with no face flew out of the dagger.....screaming." I stuttered, still scared of what will happen to me if I told him everything.
"What?! Did he...... have arrows in his back?!" He asked, eyes and words full of fear.
"Well.....yes, why?" I asked.
"Because that man was meant to be dead, illuminated, finished and extinguished from this world. He was forgotten until that dagger was found by my grandfather, your great grandfather, and put deep below the castle. And then he was forgotten. And now that you have been......hit by a powerful spell only known to him and very few wizards. We need to stay allert and ready for anything mysterious or strange." He said, standing up and walking out of the room. I stood up to follow.
"Stay. You need your rest, that dust is much too serious to be messed around with or to be brought anywhere. You need to stay here." He said, as he left the room and shut the door behind him. I was alone. In a room. By myself. With pain and agony flowing through me. I looked around the room. It was beautiful. The sun rays beaming through the windows, the walls red with beautiful tapestries. The hook cases fill of colourful and large books, containing information about animals of all sorts. The floors Gholimium Wood, a beautiful tree, and perfect for floors. There was something sparkling in the corner of my eye, and as I turned my head, it shone straight into my eyes, almost blinding me. I walked towards ye shiny object and picked it up. It was a small coin. An unusual on too. It was copper, with a person on it, but with leaf like clothes and horns on their head. The date shown on it was 1528, and the words, Ghoilk Poijnsba Dagh Oponhorix. It was a penny made by the Oponhorixes, this was one of the earliest pennies made by them, for they were only found or bred in 1506, making this coin hundreds of years old, and being of the earliest!!
