The Meeting

Chapter 3
What to do..... what to do... I thought to myself, as I sat in my room, which I shared with my sister, Ruby. I lived in a castle, owned by my father, Seasonn Centurry, and my mother, Yearr Centurry. The three children, me, my brother and my sister, all have different names. Our surnames, are names that describe the element we bend, the season we protect, and the personality in our hearts, and our first names, were given to us from the name of a stone that suits us best. I am Opal Mahogany Iroko. Mahogany and Iroko are both strong and caring names from two types of trees. Opal however, they chose it for me because I was different. I liked things that were opposites. I liked mixing things together to find a new result. That, is why I, am Opal Iroko. I stormed down the spiral staircase after I left my room, and marched off to the stables. To find our three lovable steeds. Ruby, she had an overgrown phoenix, whom she called spark. Rock had a polar bear, whom he named after a book character from his favourite names, Iorek. And I, I had a moose. Whom I named after my favourite dwarf from a long time ago, from the far lands of Erebor, on a different planet. Middle-Earth. I named him Gimli. He was big, strong, and had really fluffy horns, he was so cute!!! I loved him. As I reached Gimli's pen, I felt a little nudge on my leg. It was Nori, my hedgehog. I picked up Nori, and moved towards Gimli, he stood still enough for me to reach his head and put Nori on. I realised that there was a tail over my head. I pulled it and I found my little raccoon, Meeko, lying in my arms. He's just so cute!!
"OPAL!! GET UP HERE!! YOU'RE LATE!" said a voice from upstairs. It was the maid, my best friend, Roxanne, she was a water bender, our castle, was full of benders, the maids, the butlers, the cooks, everyone. We were the only ones who actually were benders on the island. I was an earth bender.
"WHAT AM I LATE FOR?" I screamed. I can't remember what I was late for, or what I had to go too, all i know is that there was a meeting between all the bend....THE MEETING!!!!! SHIT!!!! I put down Meeko, quickly filling Gimli's bucket with food and a bowl with water, and running upstairs, to my bedroom to get into my gown.
"I'M COMING!!" I said as I was half way up the stair case. As I reached the top of the stairs, I opened the door, and found Roxanne waiting for me.
"The meeting starts in five minutes!! What were you doing?" She asked me, as we rushed up the stairs.
"Never mind about that. I have to get ready." I said.
"We need you to get ready!" she said, as she helped me put on my clothes. My clothes was pretty fancy for an earth bender. It was a Japanese patterned skirt, wrapped around me, the left side longer than the right, and following me as a walked. behind that was a silky blue shawl type of thing, which was like a cape, but put on just behind my hips. A grass green t-shirt, and a brown triangle shall, over one shoulder and under the other, with dangling strings on two sides of the triangle. As a finishing touch, a chain necklace, with a celtic knot tree symbol, and a bracelet, with green gems, and silver beads.
"You look beautiful." said Roxanne, as she stepped away and took a good look at me. To give us hope, we ate a piece of chocolate, made by the Smothasiers, which was chocolate from a Sclopoth tree, which has lucky bark, and a taste of chocolate when crushed and grounded, and after, we drank water from our holy fountain of Ezireth.
"Good luck." said Roxanne, as I left to go to the Hall of Drachen. As I looked back to see Roxanne before I entered the hall, I saw her play with her pet seagull, whom she named Möwenvogel, which is German for seagull. I walked down the stairs, clutching my fists of nervousness. I was a total wreck, I was shaking all over, and felt like my heart was being stabbed. When I reached the Hall of Drachen, the doors made from the bark of Deanisac trees, the tallest trees in the entire Escorpiath. The doors had a dragon carved into it, a Nigyuric Lioparsdyu, curling its tail around the four elements, air, water, earth, and fire. I did the sign you had to do before you entered, which was to circle your hand around your head, touch your nose, and then curtsey, or bow. When I opened the door, there was a long table in the centre, gathered around it were many people dressed in neat gowns and suits. There were at least three dozen guards there, one of them was one of my best friends, one of my best friends, Sicilian, standing there, trying his best not to look this way and wave his hand. I could see the sides of his mouth twitching and flickering, turning into a smile. There was one spare seat beside my brother, who was a water bender, and my sister, who was a fire bender. I sat down quietly, and nervously, shaking in my seat, as at the far end of the table, my father stood up.
"We are here today, to discuss, the troubles of our land. I will start....... with the Kaplanthasians." he said, as murmurs rippled through the hall, worried faces struck all the serious men, and the women, shuffling uncomfortably in their seats.
"What are the Kaplanthasians doing in these parts? What do they want with us?" asked the President of Zijambilip.
"They are here...... to destroy us once and for all." said father. Panic flooded the hall.
"What are Kaplanthasians?" I asked my sister, Ruby.
"Kaplanthasians are devilish creatures. Destroying anything in its path. With a Bears hind and a tiger's front, with huge eagle wings, they are the enemies of our world. Wanting to destroy us all, they are unstoppable. They are spirits, that are not invisible." she said, looking down at her glass cup. "They won't stop at anything, until the last of the Zushir, have been disintegrated." Ok, I did not understand a single word she said, but it sounded bad, very bad.
"We must gather all forces to obtain these beasts. Never let them enter our land, and kill anything that passes the gates. Don't let anything in, nor out. Everyone must stay in the kingdom, and no one leaves it." said Father, as gave a menacing look at me, for I was usually the one who went to explore outside the Kingdom with Gimli and Nori, and of course Meeko. I would sometimes travel across the borders of Kalimbioza, which was a beautiful, but dangerous country, full of violence between villagers, between creatures and monsters, it was basically a land of kill or be killed. I wanted to carry on exploring, bt with those Kaplanthasians about
"We must stay clear of all paths, all roads leading to countries like Kalimbioza, and Quadan. And get your best soldiers out there and protect the Kingdom walls, and keep look out. General Dehjoi, get your best archers up on the wall to keep look out, do time shifts as well, get your fire and earth archers, they're the best." said Father, as her stood up, circled his hand around his head, touched his nose, and then bowed, which was probably a gesture of dismission. The kings, presidents, prime ministers and lords all left the hall, I, on the other hand, remained seated. My Father came up to me, and whispered something into my ear.
"If you go anywhere outside those walls.... you shall regret it." he said, and swaggered away. Oh no. I had to go outside th kingdom, I just had to. As he left the hall, I screamed after him;
"Cknul agth willk Scamthel!!" that was all I heard, echoing through the vast hall, bouncing off the walls. I ran through the doors, scrambling down the spiral stair cases, and reached the stables, where Gimli lay on the straw floor. I strapped his saddle on, put on the reigns, then my black cloak, and mounted him. As we road through the halls, I pulled the lever to open the front gates, and galloped out.
" OPAL!!! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" asked my best friend, Annalise, as I galloped out the door, passing the guards who were screaming and shouting, firing arrows and spears at us. We were to far from their reach and aim, as we reached the horizon. I could hear the prancing of Grothjul Horses behind us. We were in biiiiiiig trouble.
