Finding Truth

Lizzie pulled a letter out of the mail box. It was addressed to her in emerald ink. Hmmm.... what's this? She didn't know then what she was. Send me feedback and ideas. Also, tell me if you see something wrong with the plot or grammar. The cover art is not mine.

Chapter 5
Lizzie had sent her hawk in advance before going to camp. McGonagall had sent an owl back saying:

Also, due to the fact many students would like to bring different pets than the traditional owl, cat, or toad, you may now bring any magical creature as long as you get an ok from staff.
Sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall

And so Lizzie asked for permission to bring her new hawk to school. She got the ok and as long as they were tame she could keep him either in her dorm or in the owlery.
The hawk seemed tame. He also seemed friendly. She usually let him out and they would perch on her arm or shoulder. It seemed a fire hazard to let Leo perch on her shoulder though because the fiery aura surrounding him singed her hair and nearly caught it on fire.
After finally waiting all Summer it was finally time to leave. "Since you live in another country and can't apparate and won't be able to until after your 7th year you have to take a plane to North Carolina, where you'll get on a boat. Since it's magic it will only take you 24 hours to get to the U.K. Then you take a train to King's Cross to take a train to Hogwarts. All of this is funded by The Minister of Magic, Hermione Granger." "Um, Whoa." Said Lizzie in amazement. "Are you coming?" "I can't with your brother so, there will be chaperones." "Oh, Ok." Said Lizzie almost sadly it seemed. The next day Lizzie said goodbye. "I'll write every week!" promised Lizzie. "Yes please" replied her mother. She got on the plane to North Carolina with Peyton and Sienna. It was about an hour and thirty minute flight. Then some chaperones hauled their luggage onto a giant cruise ship.
At first glance it appeared on ordinary ship. Certainly it seemed that way if you were just a muggle walking by. But, once you were aboard you could see it wasn't ordinary at all. The deck had grass on it and had a lake and even trees! The captain was a small man only about 4 feet tall. Maybe less. He had long fingers that did not keep still. He had a long nose and wore a hat over his long pointed ears.
"That's a goblin." Peyton whispered to Lizzie. A Goblin?! "I didn't think they existed." She whispered back. "Well we bloody do!" said the captain. "I-I'm sorry." Lizzie stammered "It's no problem but, don't make the mistake of thinking that things don't exist. They'll be less easy on you." "Y-Yes sir."
Once all their luggage was aboard the witch and wizard chaperones levitated the trunks to their rooms. "Wow!" exclaimed Lizzie "They really spare no expense!" The rooms each had king size beds and TVs. They had portholes so you could look down and see the sea under you. They also had refrigerators in which you simply asked for something and it appeared. Lizzie immediately asked for mangos, empanadas, ahji, strawberry flavored water, and jelly beans. Oddly enough the jelly beans were called Bertie Bott's Every Flavored Beans. She tried one and spit it out. "EWW" It tasted like dirt.
"You know" said Sienna "They probably transfigured every thing in here so they didn't have to use as much money." She and her sister were leaning on the doorframe eating some chocolate. "Be careful with those beans and ask for some chocolate frogs. You won't regret it." said Peyton. "Ok then." She walked back over to the fridge because she had walked over to the twins a second before. "Chocolate frogs." she opened the fridge to find 5 packages. She opened one and saw a piece of chocolate that looked like a frog. It jumped on her. "It's an enchantment." Peyton explained. "Oh. In that case....." She grabbed the frog and took a bite. "YUM!" "Told ya..." Said Sienna. Lizzie saw a card and pulled it out. "Madam Rolanda Hooch. Flying Professor at Hogwarts. Also referee for inter-house Quidditch matches." She didn't bother reading the rest. "What's Quidditch?" she said inquisitively. "It's a sport where you ride brooms and put a ball though a hoop. That's as simply as I can put it." said Sienna. "Ok then."
"OMG!" screamed Lizzie. "I forgot about Leo!" "Forgot what?" asked Peyton. "He needs to eat!" "Ok let's go find the chef." said Sienna "Bring your bird." Lizzie let him out and he perched on her arm. "Oh here's a map!" said Lizzie. "Ok kitchen is next floor down right in the center." They found some stairs and walked down them. Sienna spotted a door labeled 'Kitchen'. They walked in side and a helper said, "What can we do for you?" "Well my hawk usually catches it's own food but..." "Oh Ok! She pulled out her wand and said "Accio Hawk food!" and a wrapped up package zoomed toward her. "We usually keep some spare food for pets here." "Thank you." said Lizzie politely. And they walked out and went back up to their rooms.
By then it was nearly 7:00. "I wonder whats for dinner." Lizzie said. "Anything you want. replied Peyton "You have a magical fridge." "Oh yeah!" Y'all can eat here." "Sure!" replied Sienna bright as ever. "What do you want?" "SUSHI!!" the twins yelled. "Yeah me too!" She asked for it and it appeared. She carried it too a table she hadn't noticed. It was set with 3 sets of plates and cups and had 3 chairs. "Is that magical?" "Yeah!" said Peyton "Hm I think we're going to get there at around 12 tomorrow" said Sienna. "How? We left an hour ago." "Um magic ship?" Peyton said. "Wow that's fast." They ate talking about Hogwarts and Quidditch and pigeons and anything else that was weird like llamacorns. "Tomorrow we can swim! They give you bathing suits!" Said Sienna. "Ok cool! See you tomorrow!" And the twins went back to there room and slept peacefully while Lizzie tossed and turned having dreams, though more like nightmares about the words those women on Starfall Street had said to her as she did every night.
