1.After he graduated The Dark Lord asked the current headmaster if he could teach Defence Against The Dark Arts, but was turned down because he was to young, Dumbledore overheard and later convinced the headmaster never to hire him.
2. A few years later Tom asked if he could be Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher for the second time and was turned down again, he then cursed the job so each person who filled it only lasted a year!
3. Voldemort tasked Draco Malfoy to kill Albus Dumbledore because he assumed he couldn’t do it. As punishment for Lucius Malfoy’s shortcomings, he assigned Draco to be the one to kill Albus Dumbledore in the hopes that he would fail. This would give him a good enough reason to hurt, or possibly kill, Draco for failing.
4 Voldemort’s Boggart would be his own corpse.
