I was making dinner for father. I was getting kind of tired, taking over father's chores as well as mine. I decided to rest on my bed while the chicken stew boiled. "I'll only be a few minutes..." I thought. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

           Crash! Bang! Boom! Thud! I suddenly rolled out of bed. I went to check on the soup. The water was not boiling. It laid still, cool and calm. I realized most of the water had evaporated. The food was burned and black. Luckily, the power had gone out and it stopped boiling. That is when I realized what time it was. I peeked out the window and saw that it was about one in the morning. In the MORNING? I couldn't believe it! I had fallen asleep! I checked on father to make sure he was alright. When I entered his room, father was still. I waited a few moments and listened closely. Soon, after a few minutes had passed, I heard him snore along with his causal groaning. "Luckily, he is okay"  I thought to myself. I searched for the source of the banging and crashing, but nothing seemed to be out of place. I crawled back into bed, deep in thought. "What if...Zzzzzzzzzzzzz......"
