Chapter 2
Felix woke up, gasping and panting. His first thought was the dream. His brother. . .lying facedown…”Give me the girl. . .or I will hurt the boy.” Felix scampered out of bed and climbed down the flights of steps, knocking his brother’s door open. But it was too late. Ruby layed beside her twin brother, whimpering and crying, surrounded by fresh red blood. Felix kneeled down and put his arms around Ruby, comforting her. He smoothed Noah’s golden hair and flinched as two round eyes came into view. He stood up. “Button eyes,” Felix whispered, “Out of everything, why button eyes?”
