Chapter 5
A scream echoed in the air and lingered. Scrambling up, Felix stared in horror as a black giant spider made its way to his bed. A body crashed down on him. “Felix. . .It’s the monster. I’m s-scared.” Eyes wide, Felix, gripped Ruby’s hand and glanced at the spider. “Give me the girl.” It said. It’s voice sounded old and raspy. Felix hugged his sister closer. “No.” He had meant a reply, but it sounded like a squeak. The spider moved closer. It shook its head wildly and hissed. And then the world was gone.
