“I’m not scared! I don’t need you!” Felix sighed. “Ruby, please.” Holding his thrashing sister firm and close, he made his way to his bedroom. “I don’t need you! I’m fine on my own! I don’t care if the monster captures me, I don’t care if they kill me!” Ruby cried in hurt as Felix came to an abrupt stop and dropped her on the floor. “D-don’t talk like that!” Felix laid by his bed, crying. “Ruby...I-I don’t want to l-lose anybody else. Please, Ruby. Please.” Eyes round, his sister crawled to him and hugged him tightly. “Don’t cry. . .Please don’t cry, Felix.” Hugging her close, Felix kissed her on the cheek and put her gently to bed.
