Cedric had a good life, but it wasn't that long. In one of his final years at Hogwarts he got chosen by the Goblet of Fire to represent Hogwarts in the Triwizerd Tournament along with Harry. In the last challenge Harry Potter and Cedric Diggory grab the trophy together, but the trophy is a port key that takes them to a graveyard. At the graveyard Peter is holding baby Voldemort. Then Voldemort says "Kill the spare." Peter then uses the killing curse to kill Cedric.
