Rather Observing

Chapter 4
Erin's POV
I watched as he came around the corner not seeing me in the shadows. I waited till he was looking through the window of the classroom across from me. Then I tackled him to the ground. The questions flowing out of me.
"Who are you? Why were you following me? Why have I seen you staring at me everyday? What do you want from me? What is it that you stalk me about?"
"My name is Luke.  I don't want anything from you, I just want to help. I was following you because I was worried about you. And I don't think of it as stalking I think of it as being observant. But, I'm observant  of you because I know."
I jumped off of him and ran as fast as I could to my next class with tears streaming down my face. These are the times I was glad that I was a ghost to everybody, that I was a nobody. As soon as I got to my class I stopped right outside the door and made sure that nobody could tell that I had been crying. Then I walked inside and took my usual seat in the farthest corner of the classroom. I put my head on the desk taking deep breathes. Not here E. You cant do this here.
Luke's POV
When I walked into class and saw her with her head on her desk I lost it. I walked over and took the seat next to her with everybody giving me weird looks. After all you are the most popular guy in school. When I gave them the look that told them to mind their own business and get back to what they were doing they instantly obeyed. As soon as their heads were turned I scooted my desk right up against hers and pulled her onto my lap whispering in her ear, "I'm sorry. I didn't have the right to do all those things. So I'm sorry."
With that she decided it was a good time to start crying and banging her fist on my chest. I may be the captain of pretty much every sports team, but dang she sure does have a hard hit. She stopped banging her fist on my chest five minutes into class. For half of the class we sat there like that with me hugging her to my chest and her crying. Then she finally stopped crying and just sat there.
About the same time that she had stopped punching me she had also melted into my touch and let me hold her. By the end of class she had fallen asleep in my arms and had been like that for five minutes. As soon as the bell rang she woke up and started mumbling to herself. Then she remembered where she was and took one look at me grabbed her stuff and bolted out the door.
