This is simply a book on the wizarding school I transferred from. It is not really well known and hopefully I can educate some people.

First Things First: The Houses
Chapter 1
The first thing anyone and everyone wants to know about a new wizarding school is "what are the houses?" and "which one would I be in?" Well, Smornklituw is a little different. You can be admitted into multiple houses (or none, but I'll touch on that later). So there are technically seven houses, but six primary houses, each with different concentrations of course. You can be accepted into any and all that you fit into, but you can only declare one house as yours at a time. So If I'm in one house I have to declare out of my house and declare into a house that I'm already accepted into. Does that make sense?
So for the first little while you aren't in a house at all and you just go to all your classes and studies and stuff. If you are not admitted into any house within your first year of study, you must leave. But if you exhibit certain qualities during class or on campus then a houses representative will approach you. The house representatives are simply giant talking statues of the different house animals. They can then admit you into their house and you can declare to join right away if you want. If another statue approaches you later and admits you into their house you can either stay in the house you are in now, or declare out and join the other one. You can declare out of your current house and change to another one your admitted to anytime during your studies. Usually after the first year one becomes extremely loyal to their chosen house and don't switch to another unless in dire circumstances.
One house, Elime, is a secondary house. It's sort of an honorary title. It's for students that have displayed unbelievably and rare levels in strength. Usually consists of no more than 3 or 4 admits. You are still a member of a primary house if you are a member of Elime as well.
Each house is proud of what they stand for and band together under the intense studies and inter-house competitions.
