Chapter 4: Gludigiti, the Sticky Fingers jinx
Chapter 5
This jinx will make all your friends laugh, and is one of my family's favorites. Be careful though, I once received a detention for using this during a quiz as a prank to an annoying Gryffindor (he couldn't let go of the quill!). This spell causes the targets fingers to stick to whatever he/she touches. Unfortunately, this spell is a bit unpredictable. It is temporary, but there is no set time for it to wear off, and it is not editable through more concentration.
Incantation: Gludigiti ('Glu-DIJ-it-ee')
Wand Movement: V-shape followed by a brisk swish going down
Willpower: Low
Concentration: Low
This jinx is in the shadows because it is only printed in one book which is available for purchase in the back corner of Flourish and Blott's. The book is about a young boy who was constantly bullied, and this spell is featured in one of the chapters.
This spell was discovered by the author of the book mentioned above, Ellina Reltings. Surprisingly, the first time she used the spell it was on herself. Purposefully. She did this because during Wizard's Duels fellow students would use the Disarming spell on her, and she wanted the wand to stay in her hand rather than fly into the opponent's hand. She later realised it took a long time for this to wear off, and used for pranks alone.
