The Tale of the Three Immortals
written by Sage C.J.M.
This is a Fanfic of two of my favourite book series. One is Seven Wonders by Peter Lerangis, and the other is Percy Jackson. *Please note that this does not include the actual characters from either of these books, nor does it include the original storylines. THIS IS NOT PLAGIARISM!!!

Saving Brock
Chapter 3
We drove until sunrise. When we got near the portal, Megan and Brock started to panic.
"Did you take a wrong turn? We're driving towards a dead end." "Is that a cliff?" "Why are we speeding up?" "AAAAAHHH!" I took way too way too much joy in hearing them scream as I drove off the cliff. I muttered the password quickly and suddenly we were on the island. They continued to scream for several seconds before they realised we weren't falling anymore.
"What. Just. Happened." Megan asked. "We just went through a portal." I replied nonchalantly. "How?" she asked. "Well I don't know the exact physics of it, but all I had to do to activate it was to say a special password." "What's the password?" "I can't tell you . Sorry. It's confiden..." I stopped speaking. Megan had just shrieked and was now yelling, "Emma do something! Help him!" I stopped the car and looked into the back seat. Megan had unbuckled herself and was on her knees. Brock was slumped across the seats, convulsing and groaning. It had started sooner than I had anticipated. He needed the medication right away, but we would never make it to the institute in time to save him. I could always just ignore the fact that he was in pain and dying, but a small part of me was still the person I once was. I couldn't let him die! I still hesitated when I reached into my pocket though. Was it worth it to go into a trance? Yes, I told myself. Just get it over with.
I pulled out a syringe. It was filled with a slightly yellow tinted liquid. To activate it, you needed to add a few drops of your blood type. It was clear from the way Brock was squirming that it would be dangerous to get a blood sample. I would definitely have to activate it myself.
I had gotten a weird reaction to what Apollo and Ares had done to me. I could sense the injuries of the people around me. My blood type had been affected as well and it now switched from day to day. Logan also had similar problems. I just had to focus on Brock's blood type and will my blood to match it.
"Megan, stay calm. I can save your brother, but I may end up unconscious. So I need you to continue driving the car quickly but carefully. It's easy to find the institute. Just stick to the path." I told her. When she continued to stare at me wide eyed and frightened, I urged, "Come on! we don't have much time!" She crawled up into the front seat as I crawled into the back. As I got into the back seat I had to dodge around Brock's flailing limbs. It didn't help that the van lurched into motion tossing me into an uncomfortable position.
I pushed myself into a sitting position, wedging myself into a corner. I hesitantly put my hand on Brock's shoulder. Thoughts immediately flooded my head. 'Suffers from ADHD and a broken heart; Blood type A positive; Addicted to video games, YouTube, frozen yogurt, and peanut butter.' I grimaced when I realised I was thinking, 'He is sooo sweet! Also very hot as well!' 'Shut up me!' I thought to, well, me. I yanked my hand away. I had started to go crazy while I had been touching him. At least now I knew what my blood type had to match. I closed my eyes and quickly turned every blood cell in my body into blood type A positive. before I could open my eyes, I jabbed the needle into my finger. It was painful, but not as painful as it would've been if I had missed. I unscrewed the top and let a few drops of blood fall into the substance, turning it an orangey red colour.
I instantly felt drowsy . There always tended to be drowsiness when you willingly put your blood in this certain liquid.
Before I could collapse, I injected the medicine into Brock's upper arm. "Don't let me regret this." I muttered as I drifted out of consciousness.

I woke up in bed. My bed. 'How am I here?' I thought. Before I fully awoke, I was suddenly in a restaurant. I recognized my friends sitting around me. My eyes grew wide as I realised what this was. It was my thirteenth birthday party at White Spot. Brock was sitting directly across from me, dressed in his typical orange tee. I remembered that I had helped him somehow. Our eyes met. He grinned in the way I loved so much. I smirked. He was perfect in every way. His teeth, his hair, his... wait... his hair? It all came back. We were on the island! He had a lambda on the back of his head. He was going to die. Just like me. This was just a dream... Oh Crud.
