Crumple and discard

Love...it never seemed attainable... it seemed to just enter, destroy, and leave in one fell swoop. That was what love always seemed so be for me. That is why I just get what I want out of every girl I date and then throw her away like paper. That was until I met her... I couldn''t just throw her away like all the other girls.

Chapter 1
"Seriously Lake, you're a complete assho-". I cut her off as the familiar click of the phone ended the call. There was no reason for me to continue listening as I already know that I have been holding the status of asshole for quite some time now. I lay on my bed and look at the ceiling thinking to myself. I had just broken up with another cheerleader. She was the third one I have dated this year alone and I took a little more time to get with her so I am sure there will be a bigger backlash. I shake my head, "Who cares?" I say out loud to myself as I get up from my bed and open my door. I take a look into my room looking at the rock and roll posters on the wall along with the wide king sized bed in the middle of my room. I sometimes like to take in the masterpiece that I have made for myself. I have a large dresser on which is a clusterfuk of college letters, monster energies and used apple itunes gift cards. I only have one window but it is super big and I can always see the stars from it because my room has the best view of everything outside. I finally turn around, open my door and immediately I almost step on a toy car and the small two year old baby pushing it. "Tommy I almost stepped on you ya runt". I pick up my two year old brother and he smacks me in my face with his chubby two year old hands. I fake frown at him and rub him sandy tan hair and he cracks up laughing. My brother looks exactly like me from the hair to the freckles on his face and his unnaturally green eyes. At the same time my sister walks out of the bathroom and looks at Tommy and I. "You two are always in the way, move!" she says as she shoves past us and walks into her room. My sister also has tan hair and green eyes but the gene of general attractiveness missed her in my opinion. She also got the recessive gene of massive hair growth and has an unshaveable mustache (not really). I put Tommy down to let him continue playing as I continue walking down the stairs into my large living room. I look at the unused stone fireplace along with the cream carpet and observe the entire living room because I like to take things in sometimes. The living room has four large windows covered by blinds and two large sofas and on one of the sofas my parents sit together watching a large tv posted on the wall. My parents are usually sitting down watching American Idol or some other stupid competition with people. Today they are watching America's Got Talent and they are being at home judges deciding if a hip-hop street dancer had what it takes. My mom, the only one with dark brown hair in the family but green eyes nonetheless speaks to my dad, "Oh honey I know he was good but you shouldn't let his predicament blind you from true skill". My dad with the same tan hair as his son's and daughter and wrinkled smile lines on his face replies, "But nobody knows what its like on those cold concrete jungle streets". My mom laughs at him and they watch the guy on tv get two x's but makes it. "I told you so" my dad says to my mom. I shake my head and walk into the living room. "Hey parents, I am going out to take the car to Matty's house, i'll be back before curfew maybe. Neither of them look away from the tv. "Sure thing sweetie" my mom says and nothing else happens so I walk out the front door after grabbing my keys off the coat hanger. It has to at least be eighty degrees outside as the weather has been becoming increasingly hotter as spring unfolds. I walk down the stone pathway to the blue and silver mustang in the driveway behind three other cars. I open the door and sit on the cold leather seats and start the engine. I check the time, it's only six o'clock in the afternoon. I have always wondered why my family settles down so early. I check my phone and see Matty had been getting impatient because he is so stoked for the party we are about to go to. I slowly back out and turn into the street and begin my drive to Matty's house. If I would have known everything that was going to happen, I would've never left the house.
