Chapter 8 - Interview With Rita Skeeter

Chapter 8
Then, he found out that the rest of the champions were there too. Then, a woman came and said: it was who Linda was talking about yesterday, Rita Skeeter.
“Good day to you all, I'm Rita Skeeter. I write for the Daily Prophet. But of course you know about that, is you we don't know. Young lady, with lovely smile and rosy cheeks. Smart, strong and fierce boy, with good mind. We are going to find out about you today, just me, myself and I. So, shall we start with the youngest? Lovely.” Rita Skeeter said. She dragged Harry to a cupboard underneath The Broomsticks. So they went in and Rita Skeeter let Harry sit and said:
“So tell me Harry. 12-year-old Harry--”
“Fourteen. Sorry.”
“--able to compete against three champions in The Triwizard Tournament. So how did you get in?” Rita went on.
“I didn't-” Harry tried to answer. He saw the quill moving and writing on a pad.
“Oh, course you did. We saw the name come out of The Goblet. Just ignore the quill. So, if your parents were alive, how would they feel? Proud? Nervous? Or curious?” Rita asked.
Harry was speechless. So Rita just laughed and said to the quill:
“Scratch that last.” The quill scratched it. Then Harry said, glancing at the pad.
“Hey, my eyes aren't glistening with the tears of my past.”
Then, five minutes later, Linda was at the door and she asked:
“How did it go? Actually, I shouldn't ask that. I know it was dreadful.”
“You read my mind, darling.” They exited to the Gryffindor common room to practise The Summoning Charm. Harry nearly got it right.
“Harry, try one more time, this time concentrate very carefully.” Linda told him.
“OK. Let's see, Accio Dictionary!” The dictionary flew from Linda's hands across to Harry's hands and he caught it.
“Good, well done. The only important thing here is that it should work tomorrow at the task. By the way, it's late. Let's go to bed. Goodnight.” She kissed him goodnight and went to her dormitory.
Night came. Professors Dumbledore, McGonagall, Snape and Moody were at his office. Then, Professor McGonagall said:
“This will not happen. Don't let Harry compete.”
“But Minerva, I have no choice, the rules are clear. But, I don't know how it happened.” Professor Dumbledore answered.
“But, Professor, McGonagall is right. You shouldn't let Mr. Potter compete, even though the rules are clear. But, on the other hand, there is nothing we can do." Professor Snape said.
“What? Do nothing? Offer him to compete like that?” Professor McGonagall asked.
“No Minerva, I have someone who can be his guardian.” Professor Dumbledore answered.
“I can do that.” Professor Moody said, stepping forward as if he's been chosen to something he has asked for.
“No, Alastor, I have asked the black-haired Miss Granger to take care of him, since they knew each other well.” Professor Dumbledore answered, taking his wand and pointing it on his head. “We might as well, live it like that and close this case.” He took out Harry's name and put it in a bowl where he keeps his memories.
