Chapter 7 - The Unforgivable Curses

Chapter 7
Morning arrived. They set up to go to their first lesson: Defence Against The Dark Arts. Linda told them:
“I need to see Professor Dumbledore. Don't know why, but I'll tell you after lesson.”
She went to his office, knocked on the door and she went in. Then, she said:
“You called me, professor.”
“Yes, I needed to tell you that you must follow Harry on this tournament.” Professor Dumbledore said.
“But sir, why me? You said…” Linda started.
“I'm telling you to do this because you both have been dating for three years, plus, he's under 17, will you do that?”
“OK sir.” she answered and left. Then, she met up with the others and they entered the classroom to start the lesson. The lesson started and it was about Unforgivable Curses.
“My name is Alastor Moody. Ex-Auror, and new Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher. Okay, that's sorted, end of story, goodbye, the end. Any questions?” Professor Moody said.
No one said anything, except for staring at him confusingly. So he proceeded with a question:
“Okay, who can tell me how many Unforgivable Curses there are?”
“Three sir.” Linda answered, half-crying.
"And, why are they so named?"
"Because they're Unforgivable."
He wrote the word "Unforgivable" on the board.
“And, the use of any of them…”
“...will earn a free ticket to Azkaban. Correct. The Ministry Of Magic thinks you are too young to learn this. I say different! You need to know what they are up against! You must be prepared. You need to find another place to stick a chewing gum at the other side of the table, Mr. Finnigan.”
“Oh my god, he can see at the back of his head.”
Professor Moody threw his chalk at him and said:
“And hear across classrooms. You have to learn this curses. OK, the first one, who is it going to be the first one to say it? Weasley!”
“Yes.” He answered.
“Stand.” Professor Moody said. He stood up as if he was miserable. Then Professor Moody asked:
“Give us a curse.”
“Well, my dad did tell me one. The Imperius Curse.” Ron answered.
“Yeah, yeah, of course your father will know about that. He had a lot of problems in the Ministry Of Magic, and now I'm going to tell you why.” Professor Moody explained.
He took a spider from a jar and said, “Engorgio!” and it turned big, then he said, “Imperio!” Then it was under his control. Then, he said:
“The people, did You-Know-Who's bidding under the Imperius Curse. So, give us another curse, Longbottom.”
He stood up and said:
“There is the, umm, The Cruciatus Curse.”
“Correct, correct, now come to my desk.” Professor Moody answered. He took him to his desk. Then, he said:
“Crucio!” Then, Neville started to feel as if he’s being constantly slayed, then, Hermione shouted:
“Stop it! Can't you see that is bothering him? Stop it!” Then, Professor Moody handed the spider to Hermione and said:
“I think you want to give us the last curse, Miss Granger?”
Hermione was shaking her head, crying. Then he answered:
“Alright then, Avada Kedavra!” and the spider was dead. “No one ever lived, after being hit by The Killing Curse, but, only two people survived it, and they're sitting right here in this room.” He went to where Linda and Harry were sitting. Harry already knew what he was talking about. He took a Polyjuice Potion container and drank it. Harry and Linda looked suspicious at him. The bell rang. They went outside to prepare for their next lesson.
“Sweetheart, Professor Dumbledore said, that I'll be your guardian, during these tournaments, which there are three task.” Linda said.
“Alright, so there will be three tasks to do in the Tournaments?” Harry said.
“Yes, and I’ll be protecting you, and one thing I'm not supposed to do is to help you. Don't tell Professor Dumbledore that I'm going to help you, okay?” Linda answered.
“Okay, darling. Thanks.” Harry said.
She hugged him and kissed him. Then, she said:
“If they might call you for anything about the champions in the middle of the lesson, I'll help you catch up. You'll meet me at lunchtime in Gryffindor common room. Eat lunch quickly and then come. And one thing, Ron told me what the first task is: dragons. It's about trying to collect a golden egg from the chosen dragon.” Linda said.
“OK.” Harry answered. They were going to their second lesson: Charms.
They all stood up, took out their equipment and waited for Professor Flitwick to tell them to sit. When they sat, Professor Flitwick said:
“Open your Standard Book Of Spells, Grade 4 to page 35.”
They all did so, but, then a student came to the door and said:
“Sir, we need Mr. Potter for his interview with Rita Skeeter.”
Linda scowled at the student quietly, without turning around because she knew who it was. It was that boy she met in second year. And one thing she hated the most it was Rita Skeeter, because she knew that woman in her old magic school. She just concentrated on her book and started reading “The Summoning Charm” on page 35. Then, Linda told Harry:
“Like I told you, dear, meet me at the common room to catch up with the missing work.”
“I will.” Harry answered. He hugged her and followed the boy.
