Truth

Chapter 3
We were definitely trapped. But the others refused to believe it. Kyerra paced back and forth, inspecting the walls of the truck for weaknesses. Kayley was trying to figure out how to break the door open. Vanessa was convinced there was a secret exit or an emergency hatch somewhere. Alysha was just banging on the walls and shrieking. While all of this was going on I was sitting in the corner trying to remember my exact dreams. Eventually I told them it was pointless and they were wasting their time and energy. When I said this, Alysha asked "And how do you know?" I was about to tell everyone what I knew but a look from Kyerra made me reconsider. I looked around then said, "I just do" No one took my advice except Kyerra.

" So, do you think your dreams were actually trying to tell you the future?" Kyerra asked silently. "I don't know. Maybe. We need to wait until we get there." Kyerra did not look happy about my answer. We sat quietly the rest of the trip. I wasn't sure how much time had passed. It seemed like forever, but I guess any amount of time spent in the back of a truck with people pounding on walls and yelling would seem like forever.

When the truck finally stopped we stood by the doors, getting ready to make a break for it. Fortunately we made it out of the truck. Unfortunately we didn't make it very far. We were stopped by muscular guards. They picked us up easily and carried us to what seemed like the top of the building, which it was. The guard who was only carrying Vanessa pulled a key out of his pocket and opened the door to a room. The room. Perfect. This was our chance. I just had to hope to high heavens that they weren't here. But of course, they were.

My crush and his little sister were easy to spot in the bright white room because of their red hair. At first I was almost happy. Who isn't when they see their crush? But then I had to choke back a sob. All of my dreams would come true, and not in a good way. All of the things I had endured in my sleeping state, I would have to go through again.

"Brock?" I whimpered, "Megan?" They looked up at their names. Megan gasped and ran forward to hug me. Brock stayed where he was but muttered my name. By then the Guards had locked the door and were gone. I couldn't hold it in any longer. I broke down crying. I hadn't cried since I was six, and I was thirteen then. Practically everyone lost hope then. According to the clock, which was the only thing in the room, I cried for half an hour before I calmed down. I casually looked up. There it was, the thing that had helped me, Micheal, and Alysha to escape all of those years ago. I "forgot" to tell you that didn't I? Micheal stayed in the woods surrounding the premises of the building we're in, trying to rescue innocent kids. Alysha and I came into the ordinary world, hoping to live semi-normal lives. Neither of us remembered our previous lives or that we were sisters because I used some of the magic in me ( Because I'm both Elf princess and Demi-God I have magic. ) to take Alysha's and my memories and put them in the very deepest part of my mind. When Kyerra came along ( She was sent from a neighboring elf kingdom to find us.) she forced my memories out of hiding and I took her memories too.

Suddenly a cold breeze blew into the room. Oh sorry, what I meant to say was my cold-hearted big brother came into the room. He looked scary. Since I had last seen him last, he had grown a foot taller, shaved his head, gotten multiple tattoos, and grown muscles. He looked surprised to see so many children. Then his eyes landed on me. His face contorted into a scowl, then a hideous grin. I braced myself and pushed Megan away. "Look who it is. Looks like my baby sister missed her big brother. Where's Maurin and Micheal? Hiding?" I looked him up and down. " If they were hiding, they would have good reason to. And even if I knew where they were, I wouldn't be telling someone like you now would I?" Nick looked like he wanted to strangle me... Or worse. I knew what was going to happen. I had to time it perfectly. Just as I was thinking this Nick grabbed my wrist.
