Chapter One (Scarlet)
Chapter 1
I walked down the train hallway, keeping my head down. Hiding my face. I walked to the back of the train. I opened the cabin door to see a boy. He had jet black hair, brown eyes, and peach colored skin. "Hi I'm Ja-" I shut the door. I walked to the cabin across from it, and found it empty. I went in, and shut the door behind me. I was already in my robes. I stared out the window the entire ride, exept for when I got gum.
I got into a boat with some boys. I sat in the back, while a few boys tried to impress some girls in the front by rowing. Idiots...
An adult led us down hallway after hallway. Until finally, he opened a big door to reveal a room with four long tables. Each one almost filled up. A lady called a bunch of names that meant nothing to me. Until, "Flintion, Scarlet." I walked up to the front, nervous. She placed the hat onto my head.
"Hmm... Very... Unique." I looked down, ashamed. He was seeing all of my thoughts, intentions, memories. He saw my worst memory. What I try to forget every second of every day. The monster that still haughts my nightmares. He saw what I truly am. "Well, I guess that you are a... SLYTHERIN!!!" A table cheered.
I walked over to them. A girl with red curly hair in a ponytail with green eyes and peach colored skin stook out her hand to shake. "Hi, I'm Lizzy Dertion. I'm a first year too." "What's up? I'm Scarlet Flintion." "So, Scarlet, what's your story?" My hands clenched into fists. I looked away. "I don't want to talk about it." I said through clenched teeth.
"Why? What's so bad?" I starting to get a little angery. "None of your business!" "Come on, you can tell me." "I said, none of your business!" I could feel the tingle in my mouth and hands.
My eyes widened. I got up and tried my best to sneak out of the room. I did pretty good. I walked around, searching for the bathroom. I felt agony as a wave of pain hit me, hard. I stumbled, and fell to the floor, covering my eyes. I felt my teeth sharpen, my finger nails extend into claws, and though I couldn't see it, I knew my eyes were turning from crystal blue to blood red. I released my eyes and studyed my claws. I heard footsteps. I looked out into the full moon. I stared at it until I felt another wave of pain.
My body shrieked. My cries turned into howls. I shrank and shrank until I was a wolf. My coat sparkled silver. I've seen myself in the mirror a few times to see that my eyes were still red with an amber tint.
My sharpened senses picked up on foot steps, farly close, and coming fast. I turned around, and people emerged from a hallway. It was four boys. One was the one I shut the door on while I was on the train. One had light brown hair, green eyes, and light skin. Another had blonde hair, blue eyes, and peachy skin. The other one had black hair, grey eyes, and pale skin.
They looked to be first years. The boy from the train pulled out his wand, panic in his eyes. He pointed it at me. I got into a pouncing position. The boy with light brown hair put his hand on the wand and slowly lowered it. He took a step towards me. I growled. "It's ok. It's alright girl..." he said, shakily. I stood straight up, and studyed them, trying to figure out what they were going to do next. "Remus, don't!" Warned the boy with black hair. "It's okay. I can tell she's human. Otherwise we would be dead by now." Explained the brunett, which must have been Remus.
"So what if she's human, Moony? She'll still kill us." Said the boy from the train. "Well then, let's kill it before it kills us." Said the boy with black hair. "No, I think I got this, after all, I'm not going werwolf." The boy from the train sighed, and put his wand away. "Let's just leave her. What will Dumbledore think of us having a wild wolf in our room?" Asked the boy with blonde hair. I growled. The boys glanced at me and tensed. "But it's not a wild wolf." Argued the boy with black hair. "But Dumbledore doesn't know that." Replied the toe head. "Well, we have to do something." Said Remus. "We can't leave her here were they'll probably kill her." "Sure we can." Said the boy with black hair. They stared at him. I barked at him. "Woah, woah," He said, backing up. "I was just kidding."
"Maybe we can bring her into our dorm. You know, until she turns back to normal." Suggested the toe head. I was somewhat okay with that. I mean, better than out here were they just might kill me for mistaking me for a rabid wolf. The other boys agreed. "Follow us." Said the boy from the train. They led me to their dorm. They were in Griffindoor.
Remus and the boy with black hair, who is Sirius, grabed some extra blankets and make a bed for me. I ended up sleeping in a coat closet. But, again, better than in hunting grounds.
I did that thing when wolfs and dogs walk in a circle and then lay down. It felt right. Then, I basically passed out.
