Trixie walked home......Where her mother was waiting for her..... Maria:"Trixie!! my beautiful girl!!.......how was school?....." Trixie showed her mother her black eye...... Trixie:"i-its the same as the last one mom........they hate me!!" Maria:"oh......my darling......I am truly sorry......that they did that.......but today is your birthday!!......come now my dear tell your mother what you want to do....."
Trixie:"mother......may I go outside?.......and I mean something more than school....." Maria:"......you want to go outside?......" Trixie:"y-yes mother......I want to go out and see everything this world has to offer.......I want to run and feel the grass in my toes......" Maria:'' you can see all of that through......the window of your room dear......." Trixie:"I want to see them in person mother......I want to touch and feel things......" Maria:"my dear.......you know why we stay up in this apartment...." Trixie:".....I know but......" Maria:"that's right to keep you safe and sound dear........I always knew you'd want to blaze a trail......and leave the nest.......soon but not yet......" Trixie:"but...." Maria:"trust me........mother knows best........it's a scary world out there......" Trixie:"mother......" Maria:".....listen to your mother.....on your own you won't survive.......sloppy and depressed and clumsy?......please.....they'll eat you up alive......" Trixie:".....i-is it that scary?......"
