I highly suggest that you practice this spell long before you actually meet a dementor.
How to defeat a Dementor:
1.Launch out your most greatest, strongest, and happiest memory.
2. Shout "Expecto Partronus!!!!!" with no fear, and feel strong. (you should see a silver animal at the tip of your wand)
3. If the dementor dose not go away, maybe it's a boggart.
4. If you did it, feel proud!
