The King of Scots
Chapter 4
The King of Scots has a vague resemblance to the Virgin, but is much larger with a much shorter horn. This unicorn is known for aggressive behavior and a penchant for charging. It has a full golden mane and golden beard.
Obviously this unicorn is primarily found in Scotland. It is famed for its use as a heraldic symbol. The unicorn was chosen because it was seen as a proud and haughty beast which would rather die than be captured, just as Scots would fight to remain sovereign and unconquered.
A typical diet of a King consists of viburnum, holly, hawthorn and Roses of Sharon.
