Course Description
Runology is one of the most iconic subject in regards spell casting, rituals, and wardings in Magical World. It serves its purpose in more safe and scure privacies, enhanced magic castings, tribute and others. The question is, does anyone know the history of Runology ? How runes are introduced and when ?
Though by most, the roots of runology lie since the Ancient Norse. During The Dark ages(600-800BC), a society of people in Scandinavia had no need of a written language. They used symbols with enchantments and that corresponded to each 24 symbols based on their arrangement to each other. Later, the Vikings adopted the rune scripts as their own with developments and adjustments to their own cultures with new symbols for the alphabet that had none. It was widely used and advanced into their religious sites. In this era, its purpose was altered differently along with its political downfall (war), so many of them fear of its power. In the end, another centuries and new rune script was born. It was altered from the original ones by Rune Masters, and they limited their runes in their published grimoire for public use. They quench the most powerful and harmful ones and introduce basic warding or simple and more practical runes for daily life; like inscription in jewelry, cooking utensils, household equipments, and others -combined with simple charms.
