Chapter Two: The Man With The Plan

Chapter 3
As I saw them leave I sprinted inside to look for the twins. "Emma! Emily! Guys! Where are you?!" Tears were streaming down my face. "Bri?" I heard a whisper. "Bri!" I heard louder this time. "Emma? Emily?"
"We're stuck under here."
"Under where?" I heard a big hard laugh. "Wow. Very mature."
"We're under the counter."
"How could you be under the counter?"
"In the cabinets. But the cabinets are stuck." I walked over to the counter and easily opened the cabinet. "Really? You couldn't open it?"
"We thought we were supposed to pull it." We all laughed. For a moment there I forgot about what happened to Tiff. I knew I had to tell them though. "Hey guys. I have to tell you some bad news. Tiff, she was, taken, by the police, because we're not supposed to be here. She's going to a trial to get our house for us. No matter what it takes." I looked down at my watch. "Oh my! Time to go! Six 'o' clock! I'll never make it!" I heaved out while having a minor panic attack. Emma rested her hand on my shoulder. "Just think, what would Tiff say?" Wow. That really helps. "Thanks Em. That really helps. Bye guys. Have a great day. Remember to leave at eight." I grabbed my backpack and ran out the empty doorway. I got to school with ten minutes. I sprinted half the way. I heaved as I stepped into my first class. "Bri?" My best friend, Alysa, asked. "What the?" I put my hand up. "Had a bad morning, don't ask," I said. Everyone turned, as the drama club leader walked into the the room. "Hello, my fellow classmates. I do hope you have a fabulous day, in which, I bid you one," she said in a British accent. She obviously purposely dropped her pencil. "Oh no!" She dragged on both words to make it sound as dramatic as possible. "Shut it Sara. No one cares that you dropped your ding dang pencil!" My other best friend, Rodriguez, said. "Rod! Bri's here!" Alysa yelled across the room. "Bri!" Rodriguez ran over to me and gave me a big hug. "Thanks Rod. I needed that hug." Rodriguez studied me. "Why're you so sad?" He asked. "I need to tell you something I should've told you years ago. You too Alysa." We went out in the hallway. I told them my whole life story and what happened this morning. "Wow," they both said. "I, I'm so sorry. You know you could've told us," Rodriguez said. "I was just worried you wouldn't look at me the same way. I was worried you would treat me like I was less, like I needed your help to go through everyday life." They both shook their heads and Rodriguez grabbed my hand. "No way. We wouldn't ever treat you didnt belong just because of your home situation," he said. "Guys. I need your help. Without Tiff at home I can't survive. She works to get all our stuff. I need you to help me speed up this trail and to save us."
"I have an idea," Rodriguez said. He explained to us his brilliant plan. "That's so stupidly brilliant it might actually work," I said. "Then let's put it into action."
