The Unlocking Charm, more commonly known as Alohomora, is used to unlock locks, open certain things, and unlock locked things. Back then, this Charm was known as The Thief's Friend because wizards and witches used this to unlock things to achieve raids. Now, the Unlocking Charm is used to unlock important things needed to get to other things, such as treasure.
