Chapter One: A First Time for Everything
Chapter 1
I remember this day so vividly it may as well have been yesterday. I was laying flat on my bed staring up into the void when it hit me. What the hell am I supposed to be doing on this planet? What it the purpose of my existence? Why am I even alive? All these feelings came rushing over me like a tidal wave. No, scratch that. It was more like the biggest tsunami you had ever seen. If only I could turn back time and tell my, unfortunately, innocent 14-year-old self that what I was experiencing was going to haunt me for what seems like the rest of my life and that she should probably suck it up. After some brief research, and by that I mean finding danisnotonfire, I came to the realization that what I was experiencing was called and existential crisis. That's also why I'm writing this, maybe there are some people out there who were just as lost as I was when I was just the tender age of 14. The following chapters will teach you how to deal with the fact that we all die one day and that everything we do in our lives will one day be completely pointless
