Chapter 4
•Langlock
Glues the victim's tongue to the roof of his/her mouth
•Legilimens
The caster can see victim's memories. Only wizards who can fully cast the spell see clear memories.
•Levicorpus
The victim is dangled upside-down by one of his/her ankles, sometimes accompanied by a flash of white light. Created by Severus Snape. Its counter curse is Liberacorpus.
•Liberacorpus
The counter spell to Levicorpus.
•Locomotor
A motion charm that allows objects to be moved through the air.
•Locomotor Mortis (Leg-Locker Curse)
Locks the legs together, preventing the victim from moving the legs in any fashion. The target can hop when affected by this curse, but walking is impossible without the countercurse
•Lumos
Lights the tip of your wand.
•Lumos Maxima
Produces blinding light that can be thrown far off of the wand, illuminating the surrounding area for several minutes after its initial casting before darkening once more.
•Lumos Solem
Used to conjure a very bright, narrow beam of light, which may potentially be warmer than normal light.
•Medimento
Seals a wound.
•Metelojinx
Creates a localized thunderstorm.
•Mobilarbus
This spell makes immovable objects movable.
•Mobilicorpus
A charm used to move individuals who can’t walk, such as an unconscious witch or wizard.
•Molliare (Cushioning Charm)
Cushions the body in event of a fall
•Muffliato
Used to fill the ears of any person in the vicinity of the caster with an unidentifiable buzzing sound so as to allow conversing without being overheard.
•Nox
Extinguishes wand light.
•Obliviate
Eliminates a person's memory.
•Obscuro
Causes a blindfold to appear over the victim's eyes, obstructing his/her view of his/her surroundings.
•Oppugno
Causes conjured objects to attack.
•Parum oculus (Conjunctivitis Curse)
A curse that affects the victim's eyesight and vision.
•Perforo (Perforation Curse)
This curse is used to punch a hole in something. If used on an opponent, its effects are something akin to a bullet wound. A sufficiently powerful Perforation Curse can have devastating effects.
•Petrificus Totalus (Body-Bind Curse)
Used to temporarily bind the victim's body in a position much like that of a soldier at attention; this spell does not restrict breathing or seeing, and the victim will usually fall to the ground
•Piertotum Locomotor
Spell used to animate statues and suits of armour to do the caster's bidding
•Portus
The charm used for turning an object into a portkey.
•Protego (Shield Charm)
The Shield Charm causes minor to strong jinxes, curses, and hexes to rebound upon the attacker, or at least prevents them from having their full effect. It can also cause a shield to erupt from the caster's wand.
•Protego Horribilis
Provides some form of protection against Dark Magic.
•Protego Totalum
Provides protection of some form for an area or dwelling.
•Punctum alica (Stinging Hex)
Produces a stinging sensation in the victim.
