Chapter 2 - Trip To Diagon Alley
Chapter 2
Morning came. They both woke up and got dressed. They headed down stairs and saw that Mrs Weasley was doing breakfast.
“It’s ready, so don’t bother-” she said.
“No, no it’s fine aunty, I know Hermione taught you, but I think it was just right.” Linda explained.
“Alright, if you say so. Kids, breakfast’s ready.” Mrs Weasley called.
“Sweetheart, why don’t you take a sit.” Linda said, drawing out a chair for him.
He sat on the chair. Then, Linda said, leaning on him:
“I’ll be right back. I’ll need to send a letter to Sirius about that bracelet that we found on the table yesterday. Can I use Hedwig because I’m already sending a letter with Fluffyfeathers to Hermione because I didn't see her?”
“No problem. Oh, can you tell Hedwig that if she is looking for us, we’ll be at school, that is if it takes weeks to arrive?” Harry answered.
“Of course, that wouldn’t be a problem.” Linda answered, beaming at him.
She kissed him so deeply and went upstairs to write a letter to Sirius. She took a quill and a piece of parchment.
Dear Sirius,
It’s marvellous here at Ron’s cottage. I feel better for the past few weeks after what happened last term. But, there’s something else. I found this bracelet on the table in Ron’s room. I don’t know how it got there, but someone must have put it there for a reason. Do you think it belongs to someone who lost it? Or it’s just to get me and Harry killed?
I want an answer as soon as possible, but I might give you time if you need it.
From Linda
PS: I’ll send Hedwig to you instead of Fluffyfeathers because she’s sending a letter to Hermione. She should be arriving today.
She gave it to Hedwig and said:
“If you need us, we’ll be at school OK, Hedwig?”
She hooted happily and gave her a biscuit. She caressed her and she flew away.
Then, she joined the rest for breakfast and settled to go to Diagon Alley. Later, they set themselves to Diagon Alley. After a while, she saw her sister:
“Hermione, it's good to see you again. Where have you been?” she asked.
“I decided to meet you guys this morning because I had to pack up yesterday evening. Here are my luggages.” she gave it to Mrs Weasley. “I got your letter. I’m fine.”
“Alright. Come on, let’s go.” she said.
When they reached Flourish and Blotts, they were buying a lot of clothes. On the other hand, Hermione and Linda were actually having a lot of books since they were going to revise before the term started. Then, they saw Malfoy approaching:
“OK, why are you here?” Malfoy asked.
“As you can see, Draco, we are buying things for the school term that is approaching.” Linda answered.
“That explains why you bought a mountain of books. What are you doing? Selling them?” Malfoy asked, sniggering.
“No, you stupid delinquent, we’re going to study. I won't be surprised that you are not doing the same thing. Well, guess what, this term, I’m not taking any nonsense from you or from Crabbe and Goyle. One false word or move, points will be taken and a detention will be given according to how the effectiveness of the incidence is, so watch your backs.” Linda explained, glaring at him.
“Fine, as you wish, but, that doesn’t mean that I’ll not take you away from Potter. He deserves someone else than a stupid, delinquent, filthy, undeserved Mudblood like you.” Malfoy explained, grinning.
“Watch your mouth Malfoy on how you treat her because I’m not letting her fight with you alone.” Harry said. Linda smiled darkly.
“Whatever, but remember Granger, one day, you’ll be mine.” he said and walked away.
“We’ll see about that!” she shouted back.
When they finished, they all went back home, had dinner and went to bed.
