Chapter 12 - The Night Ball
Chapter 12
The following evening, everyone was in their common room. Linda and Hermione were at the stairs. Linda was covered in mud and dirty leaves that she was so depressed and she was crying. She moaned:
“Oh no! What am I going to do? I can be seen by Harry like this. He’ll probably ask questions on why…”
Harry and Ron were listening on the door closed.
“...I’m so rough and dirty, you’ll see what’s he’s going to say. Oh no, Draco is going to pay for this, I know it.” Linda said, weeping.
“Don’t worry, sis, I know Harry is going to understand. Come on, let’s get into our room.” Hermione said, consoling her.
After ten minutes later, Harry was asking:
“Oh no! Do you remember what Linda said?”
“Errm, is it about her clothes and all?” Ron asked, straightening his bow.
“Yes, she said that if I see her all messed up, I’m going to ask her questions, but, no I will just take the furthest thing that’ll happen and that is, she’s going to break up with me.” Harry sighed, straightening his collar.
“Don’t worry mate, she’ll understand that you already did it before she even said it.” Ron said, comforting him.
“Hope you are right.” Harry smiled.
Then, Linda came into the room and she was wearing scarlet gown, with matching makeup and shining, scarlet gloves made out of cloth.
“How do I look?” she asked.
“You look amazing.” he answered.
“I told you that I will show you the surprise and there, that’s it.”
“Lovely, but, I have a confession.” Harry said, looking down.
“Whass the matter sweetheart?” Linda asked, concerned by putting her arm on his waist.
“I’m sorry for overhearing your conversation with Hermione, I know you’ll break up with me because of that.” Harry explained.
“It’s alright dear, I understand everything.” Linda said, smiling.
When they were all done they all proceeded to the Great Hall.
When they reached there, they all went with their partners and they started to dance. The dance was so lovely that it was their own-choice dance. There were a lot of cartwheels and aerials, backflips and back handsprings and also round-offs. This lasted for two hours, then people were showing their talents and after their had their own free-time.
At midnight, they were all dismissed to their common room so they could get some sleep.
