"So I'll meet you in the library so you can read my fanfiction after lunch right?" I asked my Gryffindor friend as we walked down to the great hall together for breakfast.
"Yea,and even though you are a ravenclaw your grammar sucks so I'll correct that with my new sharpie." Nicole said excitedly as she pulled it out of her bag.
"How did you get a sharpie past Mcgonagall?" I asked her in surprise.
"Please if I could steal the golden snitch for a week without anyone noticing I can get a sharpie into my common room." She scoffed.
"Sometimes I think you should be in Slytherin." I laughed.
"Says you. You snuck a niffler into your common room past flitwick." She said.
"Yes well I wanted one,plus his name is Smaug." I said proudly.
"Really from lord of the rings?" She asked.
"What Smaug is a dragon,dragons love gold,niffler's love gold,I thought it was a good fit." I said while crossing my arms.
"Fine whatever." She said. I was about to say something else but I bumped someone. When I looked up at who I bumped into I saw Draco Malfoy.
"Hello Draco." I greeted.
"I'm going to get food." Nicole said as she left us alone.
"H-hello (y/n)." Draco stuttered.
"Is everything ok,it's not like you to stutter. I said.
"I'm f-fine." He said quickly.
"If you say so, I'll see you in potions." I said bout to walk into the great hall.
A-actually um I was wondering uh has anyone asked you to the Yule ball yet?" He asked.
"Not yet, why?" I asked.
"Well um w-would you be my date for the Yule ball then?" He asked with a blush.
I blushed fiercely and said,"o-of course. I would be more than happy to be your date Draco."
"Great,thank you for accepting." He said and kissed my forehead before entering the great hall.
"What was that about?" Nicole asked as she came out eating a bagel.
"Draco just asked me out." I said with a blush.
"Ah,ok. So I'm going to inform fred and George so we could give him a little talk later." She said with a smirk and ran back inside.
"Don't you dare!" I yelled as I chased after her.
