Chapter 9
E1 (Bull)
n/a || Cattle, Bull
Magical Uses, Meanings, Pairings: Not magical, but often indicates large amounts of wealth.

E2 (Bull preparing to charge)
n/a || Fighting Bull, Victorious Bull (descriptive phrase meaning “pharaoh”)
Meaning: Indicates treasure that is heavily guarded. Sometimes indicates enchantments directly on valuable pieces. Other times is just part of the phonetic level of the text and indicates the resting place of a pharaoh.

E14 (Dog)
n/a || Dog, Hound
Magical Uses, Meanings, Pairings: Not sure if Archie and I had a freak incident, but we saw this glyph in the same tomb when we were chased out by animated, embalmed canines. Not sure if this was something in the original spell, or it came later, as the tomb had already been broken into by later Egyptian magi.

E20 (Seth animal)
n/a || Turmoil, confusion
Magical Uses, Meanings, Pairings: Used in ancient magic that works similar to the Confundus Charm.
Anecdotes and Comments: Look to see if paired with glyphs that indicate it is a charm (A25 or similar) or potion, as well as if its activation is triggered by touch. Is often used alongside spells like the Mirage Hex or Nightmare Hex to increase the panic via disorientation and confusion.

E23 (Recumbent lion)
rw || Lion
Magical Uses, Meanings, Pairings: Lions were rare in ancient Egypt and as such developed a prestigious meaning. Often an indication of guardians nearby. Can indicate royal protection.
Anecdotes and Comments: We assume its variant, E22, has a similar meaning, but we haven’t yet run into it when in use magically.

E27 (Giraffe)
n/a || Foretell, Giraffe
Magical Uses, Meanings, Pairings: Most often non-magical and simply marks a tomb of a Seer, or someone who was thought to be a Seer.
Anecdotes and Comments: While we have not seen it in action, we have heard accounts of this glyph being placed on items that, when touched, trigger visions. It is yet uncertain what purpose this serves or even if these visions are actual glimpses of the future.

E34 (Hare)
be || n/a
Magical Uses, Meanings, Pairings: Implies swiftness or great speed. This can be the time elapsing between some trigger and a curse effect, can refer to the potency of a poison’s effects or can refer to the physical speed of some object, often a projectile.
