But then whispers appear, warning her to find a stone before the darkness controls them all. But when she finds the Stone, she accidentally brings to life a war that had been fought for centuries. Prologue
Chapter 1
Prologue: A Stray Thought.
Have you ever looked at the pebbles on the ground, the ones you so carelessly kick around? Have you ever studied their designs, maybe commented on how pretty they are?
Some stones - seven in particular - are designed to do great things. Some stones are designed for… not so great things.
For many, many years, these stones have been hidden, taken captive by a darkness, growing and feeding off of the world’s strong life force. Having nothing opposing it, the darkness reigned without recognition, whispering in the hearts of men and deceiving the minds of children.
However, when the first stone came to light, balance began to show itself, a white beacon in the ruling darkness. Then another appeared, and another, male and females alike receiving the call. Courageous and restored, they went to battle the darkness - and failed.
They were disbanded, the stones once again lost to history. Those who had been restored disappeared, presumed dead. Darkness once again ruled, but it now knew that something could potentially destroy it - five stones, hidden around the world. It sought out the stones, but they were well hidden. Finally, the darkness gave up the search and sent five of its warriors to find the stones and destroy them, then returned to rule in peace.
