William heard another round of mad laughter from the main corridor. He was in the lab under the tables scrambling for a pair of night vision goggles. He heard the exit door slide open and heard Matilda scream. He jumped at the sound of her voice and bumped his hand into a test tube which fell and shattered. He thought he heard something behind him and quickly turned his head, almost losing his glasses. He tried to make out any movement in the dark, but could see nothing.

He found the goggles and put them on. He smiled enjoying his advantage and turned around. Behind him was the figure from before, smiling at him. The figure lunged at him and grabbed a hold on Bill's leg. Bill fell to the ground and attempted to fight off the insane figure who was laughing his head off. The figure took off William's shoe and sock and started tickling his feet. William tried to find the courage to laugh but the absurdity of the situation forbade it.

Matilda and Zachary peeked their heads into the main lab and saw figures moving in the darkness. "William?" Asked Matilda. They were answered with a fit of giggles.

"More playmates for me?" A high-pitched voice called.

"Run!" William's voice called.

"You can't quit now! We're only getting started!" The voice repeated as Matilda and Zachary ran down the hall. They heard the scampering of four feet on fancy tile. "I can see you." The voice called creepily, sing-song-like.

William had been left alone in the lab. 'That was a mistake.' he thought. He shakily got to his feet and put the night vision goggles which had fallen off during the struggle. He looked through the lab and saw a red light up near the corner. 'Security Cameras!' William realized. He took off his other shoe and began to tiptoe to the security office. On the way out of the lab, he grabbed the vial containing the antidote from the counter.

Matilda and Zachary had found their way to the break-room and had hidden in the cupboards. They heard the motion-activated doors slide open. "Are you in here?" The infected asked. Matilda and Zachary squeezed their legs tighter to themselves. They heard scampering and heard all the cabinets open except the one they were in.

All of a sudden, the lights came on and a voice resounded over the intercom. "Matilda, Zack. It's me William. Don't try to find me, stay where you are." William's voice said. Matilda strained to hear what was happening outside the cabinet. The motion activated doors opened and the lights went out again. After a few minutes with no noise, Matilda pushed open the door of the cupboard.

"Peek-a-boo!" the infected insane yelled. Zack trembled in terror as Matilda was dragged away screaming.
