The Speedometer
Chapter 1
How did they end up running in the opposite direction of a 1986 quarter being pursued by semi-zombies again? It had to do with nine items. The speedometer, the music note, the egg, the jade amulet, the beaker's fluid, the snake, the camera, the mushroom, and the pouch are the reason for this story.
Zachary drove as fast as he could down the highway trying to reach New Paris as quickly as possible. He adjusted the mirror of the stolen car. He saw some police lights flashing in the background. As he pushed his foot further down on the pedal, he heard the police turn on sirens and start to pursue him. The 2034 Toyota was not doing well for him now, he wished he had picked a more sleek, newer model. As the police man began to catch up with him, he popped the trunk of the car and let all the tacks in his trunk tumble out. Hitting another button, he closed it.
As he neared a corner, he released the pressure on the gas and reapplied it onto the brake. He felt the drift threaten to tip him, but he ignored it. He left tire marks on the road as he swerved into the city of New Paris. He continued to slam his foot on the gas and threatened to run over several pedestrians. He drove under the Eiffel Tower and leaped out of the car. It continued to go another five hundred meters. He felt inside of him the speedometer plummeting to 0. He fled up the ladder of the Eiffel Tower but felt a cuff wrap around his right leg. As he tried to pull up, his leg was pulled back.
He looked down and saw an officer standing next to the police car. Zachary's leg had been cuffed to a ladder rung and he could no longer move his leg.
