Great news! I got an owl this morning from the head of my dorm, Claire. There's going to be a Ravenpuff party with members of my dorm and a big ravenclaw dorm! I'm so excited! It'll be a chance to hang out with some other puffs and ravenclaws. I seem to be just spending time with slytherins and grifs... Also, there's a new literature course, and it sounds great! It's happening after school every Thursday, starting tonight!

Right now I'm listening to a dorm playlist, it's great! It's got muggle and wizard music, so it's really culturally interesting. There are songs about hufflepuff!! It's really cool that witches and wizards from hufflepuff have become famous and successful. Ooh, coldplay just came on!

Anyway, my dorms also setting up a radio station! I'd love to host a bit of it, even if I had major difficulties in fitting it in with schoolwork! I'm going to owl Claire and ask to do it anyway. It won't hurt to try, right?

Today was boring- herbology was practically the same as it was last week, but I didn't leave in case I missed something last time. The homework was fairly easy- we just had to stand up in front of the class and introduce ourselves, which was much easier than having to submit an essay, I thought. Then we completed a short quiz (I got 100%) and I was left to wander on to the Literature class.

I've only read one of the four books required for lesson 1 though- I've read 'the Handmaid's Tale', which I loved! They told me that they are only holding the literature course once a month, because otherwise people won't have time to read all the books. I need to read 'of Mice and Men', 'Frankenstein', and 'Beloved'- I've wanted to read the first two for a while, but I haven't heard of the last one. They told us a little about each book, then sent us on our way with the reading list for next month as well. But I need to find these books myself- I'm going to send an owl to my parents and ask them to buy it for me. I know my grandfather has a copy of 'of mice and men', and 'frankenstein' won't be too hard to find. It's 'Beloved' I'm worried about...

Anyway, with that done, and still an hour to kill before tea, I had a peek at some other clubs on tonight, as is now my daily pattern.  And, of course, none of the clubs were open, so I wandered down to STC all over again. Have I mentioned that they all just bunk off school? And Rin doesn't actually go to Beauxbatons- she's supposed to have gone, but she snuck out and is staying here permanently. I don't know how her parents haven't found out. I suppose I must have got in with the wrong crowd. Ah well!

When I got there, Zack was the only one there, and I made awkward conversation with him- I don't really know him that well, to be honest. He's a little quieter than the others. But- and I didn't know this before- he's a puff too! I know another hufflepuff! Rejoice! I thought he was a raven, or a grif, but hufflepuff comes as sort of a surprise. I suppose I thought I was the only puff in there, seeing as I didn't recognise anyone from the dorm or the common room. Probably because he's rarely there!

Anyway, I've got to go now, food time!
