Today I woke up to an empty dorm room- I must've slept in! I found a note taped onto my bed. It said, "Welcome to our dorm- it's definitely not boring! When you come down to the Great Hall, come sit by us- we have cake! Love Katie and Claire x (pto) If you're interested, there's a study group that helps you with assignments". Claire's a second year and I think she might've set up our dorm in the first year! How cool is that! Maybe when I'm a little older I'll try setting up a dorm of my own...

I didn't know the time, so I scampered into the Hufflepuff common room, but that was also completely empty. Panicking, I ran down to the Great Hall, but it was okay. There, Claire and Katie were sitting with some first years from different houses- a grif called Zoe, and a slytherin called Vlad. He said that tonight, people are meeting in the 'slytherin torture chamber' (slytherins, yeesh) at 8 and invited me to come! I think it's like a forbidden party... I'm not very mischievous, but it sounds like fun! Claire and Katie aren't going, but I'll know Zoe and Vlad at least.

For now I've got to go to astronomy. Bye!

Just went down to the great hall and had a talk with people. I don't know any hufflepuffs going to this party. I'm kind of scared. I mean, 'slytherin torture chamber'? Doesn't sound promising. When I was down at the hall I got talking to someone who mentioned a trivia challenge. Apparently you can get house points! So I decided to go along. But of course it was wizard trivia, so I was appalling! I only got 3 points! Then I had to go do astronomy homework, but then when I finished I decided to go look at some of the clubs I joined at the start of term. I haven't had much of a chance, what with homework and then everything getting muddled with the teachers. My new teacher for astronomy is professor Polgara, who's a hufflepuff! His room is decorated with big hufflepuff flags, it's really cool.

Anyway, so I had a look at the different timetables for different clubs:

Monday- book club, order of the badger, SPEW, Hogwarts Creatures Committee, Astronomy Tutoring Program, tutoring club!

Tuesday- LGBTQIA club, study hall, charms tutoring, feminist club, Hogwarts wide book club, Hogwarts arts club, Lord of the Rings and Hobbit, the TARDIS, 221B Baker Street

Wednesday- Academic Club, Dumbledore's Army, book club!!!, Hufflepuff study group

Thursday- writing club, role playing club, Hogwarts society for the arts, shippers club, spellcasting club, combat club, theory of magic, the hogwarts musical

Friday- Potions club, wandlore club, Herbology club, hogwarts tutoring club

Saturday- Nerdfighteria, world language club, elemental magic, wizarding history club, duelling club

NO CLUBS ON SUNDAY

Tonight was book club! Unfortunately everything si on all at once! I'm sure I'll be able to juggle it somehow. Anyway, so I went to book club. But there was no-one there! Turns out that this was the monthly meetup to discuss the book they'd all read, and because I didn't go last week, I missed it! I was really sad, but I decided to just go back here to the dorm.

The party starts in an hour! 

Oh god! I don't know what to wear! What did I pack aside from robes? There must be a dress in there somewhere! But would a dress be too much? Do I need to bring food? Oh man this is stressful...

I thought about wearing what my mum bought me- a pretty long blue dress- but then I realised I'll probably look like an idiot. So I went for something my mum... might not approve of. Specifically a corset. But whatever, I can wear what I want here! So I wore this black-and-red corset thing with jeans and my black ankle boots. Put on a bit of make-up. Twenty minutes. Got to go!
