A Night on Bald Mountain
written by Philip Hamilton

The Demons of Bell Manor
Chapter 3
I walked Angelica to her bed and cast and Protection Charm on it so she would be safe while I did exorcised all the demons. I drew my wand and lit it. "First things first, let's see if she has Gytrashes. Lumos Numerosa!" I yelled.
A bunch of little orbs surrounded me. I opened a door and sent all the lights in. I used my wand to open all the doors on the second story. I sent an orb into each. I brought them all back to me and cautiously tip-toed towards the guest bedroom where the demon had been.
I put out all the lights and lit my wand. I jumped in front of the door and shot light into the room. Receiving no response, I opened my eyes which I had unconsciously closed. I peeked my head into the room and something launched itself at my face.
"Protego!" I yelled. A white shield appeared in front of me and the figure ran straight into it. I flipped the direction of the shield and turned it into a little sphere and captured the demon. I observed it, but it was too dark to see. I lit my wand again. It was just a gnome. "Dang it gnome!" I yelled at it. I dropped the shield and sent the gnome flying out the window. I then walked over to the window and closed it, latched it and cast a protective charm on it.
I exited the guest bedroom and closed all the second-story doors. The Manor was enormous, having three stories and a basement. "Up or down?" I thought aloud. I decided that most terrifying things happen in the basement so if I go down I would be closer to the basement. "Up." I reached the stairs and sent some light orbs up the stairs worried. I heard footsteps scampering everywhere.
"Well, I guess it's better to flush them out before I go up there." Once the footsteps stopped,
