Isn't life unfair? I know it is. Because it's unfair on me, in both the life and the afterlife.
I had been trying to find my one true love, ever since I got here.
Finally I did.
I found him in the Elysium section, chatting happily with his friends.
I walked slowly over to them, hoping that he would forgive for what I did.
Lily had been the first to notice me walk over. But her reaction was half-expected.
"Severus," Lily spoke.
Her tone. Cold, so foreign. Unlike the soft, happy tone I heard when they gave birth to Harry Potter.
My true love and his 2 friends all turned to me, also having angry faces.
"You did it, Severus. I asked you to care for Harry upon my death, but you didn't. Instead you treated him like dirt. Wasn't he here when you died?" Lily screamed angrily as tears ran down her face in absolute rage.
"Lily's right. I trusted you. We all did. But you went down the same path Peter did. How could you?" James glared.
The emotions.... too much......
I backed away, tears threatening to break me.
" You betrayed us, Snape. You made me the potion just to stall me while you thought of a way to give me away to the Dementors, right?" Lupin.
" You were supposed to care for Harry in my stead while I rotted in Azkaban. You were supposed to look out for Peter. You knew we were unregistered Animagi. We told you that Peter could turn into a rat. But you let him slip through. You , Snivellius Snape, are a coward." Sirius glared in anger.
It was too much. My true love...hated me.
I spun on my heels and ran off, understanding immediately what I had to do.
In the River Lethe, I stood, ready to face it.
"O Hades, Lord of the Underworld, please allow my soul to protect Harry Potter for eternity, and when he dies, I shall fade off!" I shouted before jumping and entering the river.
Life was unfair.
But if you think of a way to overcome the obstacles given to you, with love...
That's an accomplishment I wish to see in you, Harry Potter.
'Don't make the same mistake I did, Harry.' Was my last thought before I black outed.
FOREVER.
