The Begining

Chapter 1
Many years ago before man started counting time there lived beings with power beyond imagination. For many generations, they lived and controlled all the lands of this world. Both the lands of the light and the darkness, however tragic events destroyed this once great empire. The worlds of light and darkness divided themselves up and our world changed forever.
One thousands years later a chance for redemption happened. A child was born into this world, who could rewrite all the wrongs done and thus our story begins. The mountain city of Durma has long since dried up practically becoming a ghost town. The city merchants have been in an uproar. They have been trying to have the mountain roads reopened. However, with the number of deaths on the rose, they have been unable to accomplish this. In a last ditched effort to change the doomed fate of the town, they request help from some of the nearby cities they are still able to gain access to. They offered a reward large enough that people would overlooked the numbers of deaths so far earned.
Warriors from all over the western lands came for the reward offered. When they arrived the merchants combined them into large groups so that they would be forced to work together. Most of the groups choose to take the northeastern road thinking that it would be the easiest to clear. Only three of the twenty groups choose a different path One chose the southern path leading to the desert lands of the Eruri a nomadic group know for killing outsiders. The second choose the southeastern path leading to the city of Kumbic. The third group chose the eastern path leading to the ancient city of Rhodes.
For it was within this group the third that the children of fate will be forced to make their mark upon the land. The mage prince, death's priestess, the elven twins, and the siren thief.
