On a dark and stormy night, Belle and her friends were walking to astronomy class. On the way to class as they passed the Potions classroom, the wall exploded! After the debris and smoked cleared everyone but Belle was unharmed. She suffered many cuts and bruises, and was covered in clear goo. Her friends ran to get Madam Pomfrey. When Madam arrived, she was able to heal Belle's injuries with a "reparo'' spell. However, one injury was gone unnoticed. The clear goo dissolved into her skin. The goo was consisted of dragon saliva and eye of newt, which become poisonous when mixed together.

Later that day Belle was in Astronomy class sitting on one of the turret walls when the poison began to take its effects. Her vision began to blur and became very dizzy. All of the sudden she lost her balance and fell from the tower. In the fall she broke her neck and was paralyzed.when Belle reached the ground the earth swallowed her up and she was gone.Later when she became a ghost she decided to be the poltergiest of the astronomy tower.
