I am currently walking into the great hall. I have just heard McGonagall's speech for the millionth time. (My papa always stated it to me when he got bored.) I am waiting with all of the other first years. I am by far the most small and feeble one. I cam barely see over the sea of heads that surround me and end up shoving to the front. The line is growing thinner and the last name Scaburt comes up. I am next. I gulp and wait for McGonagall to say my name. I hear "Natalie Scamander" being called. Everyone takes a gasp and turns in my direction. Of COURSE everyone has heard of my papa. He IS the famous author of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them! I will not brag of course, but I am SO prous of him. He is my favorite Papa ever! He could NEVER be replaced. I am sitting on the stool. The sorting hat is having a conversation with me. This is what he is saying.... "Ah another Scamander! I thought that your father was the last! Are you using a self writing journal? Is it recording all of this on the pages?" ' Yes Mr.Sorting Hat.' I am replying. "Well, just to let all of the readers know, I truly am bloody handsome! Well anyways, you dear, are loyal, brave, ambitious and witty. Perfect for ANY house! But it is mostly up to you!" 'Well Papa was a Hufflepuff, and Mama would have been a Ravenclaw. But I always find myself more like Papa all than Mama. So I would really like...' He is cutting me off by yelling, HUFFLEPUFF! Yay! I am sorted into the same house as papa! He will be so proud! I am so excited to have my first year at Hogwarts! Oh by the way, Augusta was sorted into Gryffindor. so we will not see each other as often as I would like. But Professor Dumbledore has a soft spot for me. He might just be able to convince the headmaster to change our schedules to the same thing. Well I've got to go. Can't keep the other Hufflepuffs waiting, can I now? I'll see you later!
