The summer ended very quickly and they were already to leave. They hugged their parents that were staying behind, and got in the fireplace one by one. 

"HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY!" They each said.

They all showed up in a big room with floating candle sticks and tables with benches. 

"Well kids, explore this room while we wait for the rest of the witches and wizards."

"Daddy?  What do you call this room?" Embree asked

"The Great Hall."

It took awhile for everyone to show up. But as the group got bigger, the game of hide and go seek got better and better for the children. By the time everyone got there, Mr. Gryffindor got up and started to give a speech. After he was finished, he pulled an ugly hat from out of the podium. 

"This is what we call the Sorting Hat. It will determine what house you're in. If it puts you in Ravenclaw, you'll end up in Professor Ravenclaw's house,  you'll sit on the far left table when you come in here. If you go to Professor Hufflepuff's house, you'll sit on the second far right table. Professor Slytherin's house table is over next to Ravenclaw's. And my house will go in the table next to Hufflepuff's."

"I will call you by your first names, then last. First up, Mirandey Jones. 

"HUFFLEPUFF!"

"Grazon Turf." 

"RAVENCLAW!"

It seemed like forever but finally, they got to Kyle.

"Kyle Ravenclaw."

"GRYFFINDOR!"

"Justin Hufflepuff."

"GRYFFINDOR"

"Embree Gryffindor."

"GRYFFINDOR!" 

"Gail Slytherin."

"GRYFFINDOR!"
