Sometimes
Chapter 4
Pleading, begging for the latter
Pleading, begging for him to stop
Begging the lover that went awry
To rethink their actions
Alas, their listening is turned off
And hands shove me roughly
I lose my footing
And fall off the building
We had declared our love on
As screams echo from below me
And the wind pulls my hair above me
And I stare at the stars floating on the sky
I take in a deep breath
And close my eyes
I realize something
As I continue falling
down the towering skyscraper
Sometimes the fall
is the most peaceful thing
before death.
