Wand Movements and Incantations

Chapter 13
The premise of Transfiguration, Wands Movements dictate whether or not a spell will be successful in Transfiguration. One of the most vital things, Wand Movements are dictated to students from day one and are a requirement for passage to the next year, across all year levels. Owing to their close affiliation in linking magic, the wand and the mind, it is essential for all students to understand the differing wand movements and how they must flow in their movement.

Examples of common wand movements:

As each wand movement is unique, these ones are specific to the spell they are aligned with,

Avifors: Swirl above object, followed by a sharp tap

Draconifors: Long, upwards sweep from the knees

Lapifors: Three light, but quick hopping flicks outwards from waist to object

Snufflifors:Sharp, whiplike crack of the wand above the head

Fera Verto: Three taps upon the object

Solidify: Triangulated wand flicks

Piscifors: Linked, bubble loops in a triangular shape followed by outwards push

Ebublio: Extended figure 8 downwards in air

Pullus: Using spare hand, pull wand backwards and behind the spare hand before pushing out

Fiante Duri: Large, circular loop in air, followed by outwards push

Glisseo: Downwards flick at the ground.
