Chapter 1
Dear Diary,
My name is Rose and my parents are dentists. Today is my 10th birthday and I just learned to love reading and writing so my parents decided to give me this diary as a gift. I was so happy when I got it because I always wanted one, the only problem was that it was blue and I wanted a pink one. Suddenly, the diary turned pink. My parents were shocked and I was confused, but we decided to just pretend that never happened. after my party we went to a really nice sushi restaurant and then to Dylan's candy bar. it was such a great day! Tomorrow my parents are taking me to see a movie, though we haven''t decided witch one yet I really want to see the movie Madagascar 2. Not considering holidays my life is pretty boring and i would like something exciting to happen every now and than if at all. My daily routines are pretty normal and there is nothing to do after school. so I really have nothing to do. I was so happy when I learned how to read because now I can read to pass the time. I love reading because it can take you to another world. I would love to go to Narnia or Oz - anywhere with magic. I would love to have magic, it would be the best gift ever. My older sister is always teasing me about keeping my head in the clouds, but the world is so boring that the clouds are actually a lot more exciting than they seem. Just because she is 13 and i am 10 she thinks that she is so much better than me, but that is not true. My mom told me that I learned to read earlier than my sister Marry. Marry learned to read when she was 7, but I learned before I turned 5. I will never admit it, though it is true, that I only wanted to read because Marry was learning. well, that's all for now and I will tell you about the movies tomorrow.
