EVENING PRIMROSE

Chapter 35
The Evening Primrose grows in the moonlight, and is classified as a magical plant due to its observance of the life around it. If the primrose realizes that it is being watched, it will not open out of modesty. It reveals itself only under the cover of darkness, and surrounded by comfortable companions. The primrose can grow anywhere from five inches to about three feet, and its flowers are yellow, pink, or white. Variations of the plant bloom in any season except winter. One reason the primrose is popular in the wild is that it is drought resistant, and this can withstand long periods without water. Many potions utilize the light fragrant smell of the plant, while gardens use the primrose to attract birds.

For a magical plant, the Evening Primrose has very little magical use. Generally speaking, parts of the plant are mixed into salads and used for tea. Some sweet shops will use primrose for flavor in their candies (especially gums).
