DADA 101 Notebook

Purpose is to help people with DADA ^_^ I decided why not create a 'notebook' regarding each lesson for DADA? No leaks of test paper answers are intended as I only look at the Lessons and not the assignments Anw hope it helps :D

Dark Arts, Boogies, and Knockbacks
Chapter 3
Laws:
-Any magic that causes harm;Can be spells, potions, etc.
-There are no laws that state that the Dark Arts illegal, though it is frowned upon in the Wizarding Community
-The exceptions to this rule is the Unforgivable Curses: The Imperius Curse, the Cruciatus and the Killing Curse
-The use of any of these 3 Unforgivables will result in a life long sentence in Azkaban Prison(for the user)
-From late 1997-1998 everything that was related to the Dark Arts were legalized and taught at Hogwarts by a known Death Eater

Dark Arts:
-3 different types of Dark Spells: Jinx, Hex and Curse
(i) Jinx:
-Lowest form of Dark Spells
-Irritating;Amusing;Not much of an inconvenience
-Usually used in practical jokes
-E.g. Knockback Jinx
(ii) Hex:
-Slightly darker than a Jinx
-Moderate discomfort
-Can be reversed by a Hex Breaker
-E.g. Bat-Bogey Hex
(iii) Curse:
-Darkest dark spell
-Extreme discomfort and or pain
-Long lasting and can result in death
-Can be blocked using protective charms
-Lifting a curse will only prevent further damage from being done, it will not take away damage that has already been done
-E.g. Curse of the Bogeys

Spells Learnt:
(i)Curse of the Bogeys:
-Will cause the recipient to develop an extreme cold and an extremely running nose
-Recipient may collapse if not properly taken care of in time
-Do NOT use it on a fellow student
How to cast it:
Incantation: Mucus ad Nauseam=MYOO-kus ahd NOU-see-um
Wand movement: The motion should resemble a rain drop-Bringing your wand curving down from the left and then going outwards to the right(a bit) and then moving the wand back to its original position

(ii) Knockback Jinx:
-Repels or pushes back whatever the target may be/It may blast apart if the target object is fragile
-Can be sent back to caster with a Disarming Charm(Expelliarmus) or Shielding Charm(E.g. Protego)
-Blue light will shoot at your target if cast properly
How to cast it:
Incantation:Flipendo=Fli-PEN-Doh
Wand movement:Slash your wand down to the right, then you immediately bring it up diagonally to the right and end the motion with a wave
Variation:
Knockback Jinx Duo:
-More powerful than the original
-With enough power, it will throw their enemy long distances
-Blue sparks will be produced when cast properly
How to cast it:
Wand Movement:Simple slash
